About the Panelists

Headshot of panelist Joy Fehl

Joy Fehl's (she/her) mantra is "be where your feet are" and she is fortunate to find hers most days at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick where she has been the Marketing and Development Manager since 2012.  She appreciates the important role that "third places" play in our lives and works to ensure that the library continues to be a literary/cultural/community hub and free for all through creative philanthropy and storytelling. She was a founding board member of One Longfellow Square and still volunteers there regularly. Joy has a BS in Business Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Bentley University. She lives in Bath with a career-change Guiding Eyes for the Blind pup that she and her daughter trained, collects vintage typewriters, and loves rowing on or dipping in the cold waters of Maine.

Headshot of panelist, Holly Greenleaf

Holly Greenleaf is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at SeniorsPlus.  SeniorsPlus is the Western Maine designated Area Agency on Aging and is headquartered in Lewiston.

Greenleaf is from Southern Maine and has worked as a human resource professional for over 20 years, mostly within the Maine public school system.  She more recently worked for the State of Maine Department of Transportation as the Assistant HR Director for the Department.  She has overseen several volunteer programs over the years in her work in the public school system as well as in her current role with SeniorsPlus.

Headshot of panelist Angela Stone

Angela Stone is the Founder and Executive Director of Maine Needs, a community fueled donation center based out of Portland and serving all 16 Counties.

Her background and previous career in Chicago was Interior Design. During the Summer of 2018, her family was moving back home to Maine, at that same time, mothers were having their children indefinitely separated from them at the border for seeking legal asylum. This caused an internal pivot from design to pouring energy into supporting other mothers and their children.

Maine Needs started in 2019 as a Facebook group to help local asylum seeking families and quickly grew from there. Maine Needs partners with over 125 Organizations and welcomes in over 2500 volunteers a year to meet the basic material needs of over 36,000 people. This still includes immigrant families, but also local Maine families, unhoused neighbors, people leaving incarceration and domestic violence.

Angela lives with her husband, 3 kids and dog in Cumberland, Maine.
