About the PresenterHeadshot of program presenter, Jennifer Svendsen

Jennifer Svendsen, PhD, began her career in cancer research. The same skills that led her to successfully complete a highly competitive PhD program in Cell Biology and publish her work in top scientific journals, have made her a savvy consultant in the area of compensation and talent management. Both require asking the important questions and finding solutions.

Prior to joining Edgility, Jen worked at nonprofit research institutions in the US and UK. In these roles she honed the key skills of training and coaching staff, managing projects effectively, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.  She also worked as an executive leadership and business solutions consultant to companies in the life sciences and technology sectors.

As a Principal and founding member of the Compensation Team, Jen has dedicated her time at Edgility to unparalleled client-centered solutions that help our clients close wage and opportunity gaps. She holds vast knowledge about compensation in the nonprofit and charter school spaces, and is rapidly expanding her knowledge base in the for-profit and broader talent management space.

Jen is passionate about closing gender and racial pay gaps. She loves being able to work with clients – and for a firm – who value pay equity.
