Professional Bio
Ellis Ivy is the Membership Engagement Manager for the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP), where he thrives on connecting with current and potential nonprofit members. In this role, he focuses on recruitment, retention, and engagement, fostering a vibrant community of nonprofits across the state. Ellis has a wide range of professional and volunteer nonprofit experience in education, animal welfare, youth mentoring, and the library system. His experience reflects a genuine commitment to enhancing program impact and promoting inclusivity, driven by his passion for the organizations he serves.
Ellis is an avid animal lover, an enthusiastic - if not always successful - wildflower gardener, a haphazard explorer of Maine’s trails and waters, and a practical woodworker. A longtime martial artist, he practices Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and runs a small organization offering Muay Thai and BJJ classes for the LGBTQ+ community.
