Organization Overview
Kathryn Pierce has over fifteen years of social sector experience, including professional roles in philanthropy, consulting, and nonprofit leadership, and graduate-level studies in public administration. She also brings experience working at the grassroots community-level to advance social change as a former Peace Corps volunteer. Most recently, Kathryn served as Executive Director of Camp Susan Curtis, Maine’s only tuition-free camp that exclusively serves Maine kids facing economic hardship. Kathryn's nonprofit leadership experience opened her eyes to a commonplace challenge in small organizations, where visionary thinking often takes a backseat to practical tasks in the absence of dedicated support staff. This now fuels her passion to help organizations make more informed, strategic decisions about their future direction. She recently launched Kathryn Pierce Consulting to help Maine's social sector leaders focus their resources where they will do the most good through the following service offerings: Strategic Planning, Capacity Building, Implementation Planning, and Landscape Assessment.
