CARDNE logo Camp CARD NE is a non profit social enrichment camp in Southern Maine for children with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and/or related social disabilities between the ages of 9-18 years old.

Camp CARD NE offers the foundations necessary for social development using a variety of community locales.  By introducing Camp CARD NE campers to a variety of settings, choices emerge for developing relationships with the area staff, children and programs in a typical manner. The significance of introducing campers to new environments using familiar trained support staff provides safe opportunities for personal growth and independence.

kids in treeCamp CARD NE campers create friendships with peers and make connections with mentors and counselors that continue beyond the camp experience. Additionally, the affect on the community concerning autism awareness is positive.

Camp CARD NE continues throughout the school year with Super Saturdays: a time to renew friendships and encourage further social growth.  As there are so few social opportunities for children with social skills deficits available, this extension of camp is considered one of our best attributes!
