Professional Bio
For the past ten years, Katrina Ruffner (she/her) has been a Maine Association of Nonprofits team member, nonprofit cheerleader and learning fanatic. In the role of Director of Education, Katrina supports the development of learning programs for nonprofit staff and volunteers doing essential work in our communities. She is a college graduate, who takes great pride in lifelong learning. Her top strengths according to the CliftonStrengths Assessment are strategic, ideation, futuristic, input and connectedness. That means she loves creating alternative approaches, she is fascinated by ideas, inspired by the future, collects resources like a squirrel, collects nuts, and truly believes that everything happens for a reason.
Outside of work, Katrina serves on the board of Crisis and Counseling Centers, and as “Beaubina” in her blended family, which includes two chocolate labs, one black lab, her husband and five young adults who think she’s hilarious (most of the time). She lives in Yarmouth, unceded Wabanaki Territory, and enjoys collecting plants, books, and fuzzy blankets.
